Lead Clinicians Group
The Australian Government is committed to strengthening clinical engagement in the health system, and recognises the important role clinicians play in ensuring effective and quality health care and in improving health outcomes for patients.
Establishment of the National Lead Clinicians Group (LCG) was announced on 29 September 2011. Membership spans healthcare sectors including hospitals, specialists, GPs, allied health, aged care, mental health, rural and remote and indigenous health.
If you have any clinical matters that you would like the National LCG to be aware of, the National LCG would like to hear from you. Please note that the National LCG may not be able to consider all issues raised.
A Secretariat, accommodated within the Department of Health, has also been established to support the National LCG.
